US Orders Departure of Non-Essential Staff from Israel Amid Security Concerns

The US State Department has authorized the departure of non-essential personnel and their families from the US Mission to Israel due to increased security risks. The decision is accompanied by an updated travel advisory warning of the instability of the security situation in Israel, the Palestinian Territories, and Jerusalem. Additional movement restrictions may be imposed on embassy personnel, especially near Gaza, the borders with Lebanon and Syria, as well as in the Old City of Jerusalem and the West Bank. US citizens are urged to reconsider travel to the region due to terrorism and political unrest, while a travel advisory against travel to Gaza is in effect. The State Department warns of potential terrorist attacks on tourist sites, transportation hubs, and government facilities.
