US: Removing Non-Essential Staff from Embassy in Beirut

The United States has ordered the departure of non-essential staff from its embassy in Beirut, as a precautionary measure, amid rising tensions in Lebanon. This decision comes after Hezbollah, the Iran-backed Shiite organization, called for 'resistance' following Israeli strikes in Lebanon. The embassy will continue to operate with limited staff, while ensuring assistance to American citizens. Approximately 40 people have already departed from Beirut. This move highlights the deteriorating security situation in Lebanon and concerns about a potential escalation of the conflict.
