UAE: New Attack on Oil Facility in Fujairah

An oil facility in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, was targeted by a drone attack today, causing a fire, but with no casualties reported. The attack occurred on the 17th day of the war in Iran, with Tehran responding to the US-Israeli attacks by hitting targets in Gulf countries. The Emirati authorities intervened immediately to bring the situation under control. Fujairah is an important oil export port, with approximately 1 million barrels of crude oil being exported daily from the Murban area. The facility was also hit by a drone yesterday, forcing Adnoc, the UAE's national oil company, to suspend crude loading operations. This attack represents an escalation of tensions in the region.
