Bank of Cyprus Leads the New Digital Era

The Bank of Cyprus is at the forefront of digital banking in Cyprus, with two new products, Fleksy and Joey, driving the increase in the use of digital services. 2025 marks a significant year for the bank as it invests in the development and upgrade of its digital channels, making them a central point of contact with customers. Fleksy, the first "Buy Now Pay Later" (BNPL) product in Cyprus, has already achieved success, with 2,231 customers having opened an account and a total approved credit limit of €4.8 million. The value of purchases with the Fleksy card reached €3.44 million, demonstrating the growing demand for flexible payment solutions. At the same time, the Joey platform, aimed at children and teenagers, has been upgraded with new features such as savings goals, dark mode, transfers between users and reward programs. The platform has approximately 9,000 registrations and records around 50,000 card transactions monthly, with a total value of €400,000. The Bank of Cyprus has a total of 504,000 active digital users and 249,100 active QuickPay users, indicating a successful transition to a digital operating model. The bank has received international recognition for its digital initiatives, confirming its leading position in the digital banking sector.
