Erhurman Defends Turkish F-16 Deployment in the Pseudo-State

The Turkish Cypriot leader, Tufan Erhurman, defended the deployment of Turkish F-16s in the pseudo-state, claiming full coordination with Turkey in the face of regional developments. He believes there is no serious risk to the pseudo-state, but emphasizes the need for preparedness. At the same time, he criticized the Republic of Cyprus for its military agreements, characterizing these choices as unrealistic and dangerous for Turkish Cypriots. He expressed the view that Turkey is a guarantor power for the entire island and can contribute to resolving the crisis through diplomacy.
