POBEK Protests Handling of Vehicle Recalls by Ministry of Transport

POBEK is protesting the reluctance of the Ministry of Transport to put pressure on car companies to implement vehicle recalls for technical problems. The protest was expressed after the postponement of a briefing to the Parliamentary Transport Committee regarding the types of airbags used as replacements for Takata airbags. POBEK states that there are 30,000-40,000 problematic cars on the roads and accuses the Minister of Transport of inaction. The postponement means the issue will not be discussed again in Parliament before the parliamentary elections.
