Limassol is preparing for its grand carnival parade, which will take place on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The parade is expected to be a spectacular display of color, rhythm, satire, and laughter, with dozens of floats and groups participating. The floats cover a wide range of themes, from political satire (“Parliamentary Elections,” “In the Age of AI-Eye”) to pop culture (“Barbie Girl,” “Kung Fu Panda”) and current events (“Limassol FLIES”). The order of the floats has already been determined by lottery. The parade will begin at 1:00 PM from the Agios Nikolaos traffic circle and will follow a route along Makarios Avenue. Cafes and shops along the avenue have already received many reservations. The Limassol Carnival Parade is an important event for the city and attracts thousands of visitors every year, offering a unique experience of fun and entertainment.
