European Public Prosecutor's Office Remains Silent on Pheidiou Investigation

The European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) is not commenting on the investigation concerning independent MEP Pheidiou Panagiotou, citing the protection of ongoing investigations. This stance is in line with the EPPO's established practice of not disclosing information about current investigations in order to avoid jeopardizing their outcome. The investigation concerns potential misappropriation of funds, specifically a villa in Limassol allegedly used as an office. Pheidiou Panagiotou has stated he is unaware of the investigation and has announced he will respond with a video. The EPPO emphasizes that any announcement will be made only by itself, if deemed necessary.
