EU Sends 447 Generators to Ukraine Amid Harsh Winter

The European Union is urgently sending 447 generators to Ukraine, at a cost of 3.7 million euros, to support over one million citizens facing power outages, heating and water shortages due to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. The generators will be distributed through the Ukrainian Red Cross, prioritizing hospitals and other critical services. The EU has sent nearly 10,000 generators to Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion, as well as over 160,000 tons of aid. In addition, it has allocated over 1.2 billion euros for humanitarian assistance and 3 billion euros for Ukraine's energy security.
