France Moves to Ban Social Media for Children Under 15

France is one step closer to banning social media use for children under the age of 15. The French National Assembly has adopted a bill aimed at protecting the health of minors by prohibiting access to social networking platforms. The legislation, supported by President Macron, is now expected to be reviewed by the Senate. If definitively approved, France will be the first European country to impose such an age limit. Macron described the vote as a 'major step' in protecting young people.
