Lidl Cyprus Presents 3rd Sustainability Report for 2024

Lidl Cyprus presented its 3rd Sustainability Report for 2024, highlighting its commitment to responsible business practices and its positive impact on the economy, society, and the environment. The report, in magazine format, focuses on five strategic areas of action: climate protection, resource conservation, respect for biodiversity, fair business practices, and health protection. This year's report is joint for Greece and Cyprus, promoting the exchange of best practices. In 2024, Lidl Cyprus invested €589.7k in social and environmental initiatives, such as the operation of the Lidl Food Academy, the 5th Lidl Wellness Camp, and collaboration with the Hope For Children organization. At the same time, Lidl Greece invested €1.99 million in similar initiatives. Lidl Cyprus has set a target of Net Zero by 2050 and emphasizes the circular economy and responsible sourcing. The company seeks to maintain good relations with the countries in the region and contribute to resolving disputes. Vasiliki Adamidou, Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability of Lidl Cyprus, stated that sustainability is a daily practice and that the report is an open discussion about protecting the environment and evolving with society. The report follows international standards and European directives.
