Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced the immediate start of consultations to extend the right to postal voting to Greeks abroad in national elections, describing the proposal as an “obvious national choice”. He proposed the creation of a Special Tri-District Constituency for the Diaspora, while also assuring that there is no intention to change the entry threshold to Parliament to 3%. Mr. Mitsotakis stressed the need to shield the country in an international environment characterized by “uncharted waters” and emphasized that the country’s strength is the only guarantee of security.
