Environmentalists Express Concern Over Missing Cats

The Movement of Ecologists – Citizens' Cooperation expresses concern over the case of the missing cats, emphasizing that the case remains unsolved despite recent reports of a possible solution. According to the Movement's information, none of the kittens have been found in the original area of disappearance. The Movement calls on the competent authorities to continue the full investigation of the case and to assign responsibilities where they arise. The President of the Movement, Stavros Papadouris, has sent a letter to the Chief of Police, requesting immediate and intensification of investigations. In addition, the Movement proposes the establishment of a regulatory framework for the capture, sterilization and release of stray cats by animal welfare organizations, with clear procedures and public information. The aim is to protect animals and avoid communication manipulation. The Movement of Ecologists states that it will continue to work for the benefit of all animals in Cyprus and stands by the side of animal lovers.
