Drone Attack Hits Russian Port Near Finnish Border

A fire broke out at the Russian port of Primorsk following a drone attack in the Leningrad region, not far from the border with Finland, local authorities announced early this morning. "Over 50 drones" were reportedly destroyed overnight in the Leningrad region, according to Governor Alexander Drazdenka. A fuel tank was damaged at the port of Primorsk, causing a fire, and personnel were evacuated. The port, located on the Baltic Sea, lies between the border with Finland and the city of St. Petersburg. Ukrainian attacks have been recorded in the region, which is far from the front lines of the war between Russia and Ukraine, which began in February 2022.
