Elementary School Students Visit Paphos City Hall

The Paphos City Hall was filled with children's voices today, as students from the 11th Primary School of Paphos visited as part of a school trip combined with experiential workshops of the Red Cross. The students had the opportunity to meet with the Acting Mayor Angelos Onisiforou and members of the Municipal Council, discussing the role and responsibilities of the Municipality, the functioning of Local Government and the importance of participation in public affairs. The meeting evolved into a constructive dialogue, with students expressing their thoughts and ideas, showing interest in the issues of their city. The Acting Mayor of Paphos stressed the importance of connecting children with institutions and the Municipality's support for actions that strengthen democratic education and participation. This visit is part of efforts to cultivate students' democratic awareness and encourage their active participation in society.
