Fire Department on Alert: Flooded Properties and Fallen Trees Reported Across Cyprus

The Fire Department responded to a total of 10 incidents in the last 24 hours due to heavy rainfall across various regions of Cyprus. In the province of Nicosia, two tree falls and one flooded basement were reported. In Limassol, there were two tree falls and two flooded properties. In the province of Larnaca, one tree fall incident was recorded, while in Paphos, the Fire Department was called to pump water from two basements. Fire Department spokesperson Andreas Kettis stated that services are on alert to deal with similar incidents. The heavy rainfall caused problems in several areas, with the main consequences being fallen trees and flooding in basements and properties. The Fire Department assisted in removing trees and pumping water to restore normal operation to the affected areas.
