Extension of Pharmaceutical Coverage to Resettlers in Occupied Territories

The Council of Ministers of Cyprus approved the extension of coverage for the cost of medicines and related preparations to resettlers in the occupied territories. The decision is based on the mechanism already in place for enclaved persons and covers medicines not included in the General Health System (GHS), as well as nutritional supplements. This move was made for humanitarian reasons and with the aim of equal treatment, responding to a request from the Humanitarian Affairs Service. The purpose is to strengthen the sustainable stay of resettlers in the occupied territories.
