Saint Pamphilus and his Companions Honored Today, February 16th

Today, February 16th, commemorates the memory of Saint Pamphilus and his companions. The Holy Martyrs Pamphilus, Daniel, Elias, Isaiah, Theodoulos, Jeremiah, Julian, Ovalis, Paul, Porphyrius, Samuel, and Seleucus martyred during the reign of Diocletian. These Saints, working in Caesarea of Palestine, confessed their faith in Christ and endured torture and death for their refusal to renounce Him. Each of them died in a different way, with Porphyrius being burned alive and Theodoulos being crucified.
