March 25th Celebrations: Affected Areas and Road Closures – Drone Use Prohibited

The Police have made the necessary arrangements for public safety and to facilitate traffic flow due to the celebrations of March 25th in Nicosia. Parking will be prohibited on specific roads around the Panagia Faneromeni Church and along Konstantinou Palaiologou, Omirou and Byronos Avenues from midnight on Tuesday. Traffic will be gradually disrupted from 9 a.m. on Wednesday, starting on Omirou Avenue and extending to Byronos Avenue and Demostheni Severi Avenue. Traffic will be stopped on the parade route, significantly affecting access to central points of the city. Specific parking areas have been designated for vehicles participating in the parade, such as the Davilla parking area and the parking area near the Fire Station. Drivers are encouraged to use these parking areas to avoid fines and facilitate the smooth conduct of the parade. Additionally, special arrangements have been made for city buses, with designated pick-up and drop-off points, to ensure the continued operation of public transport during the celebrations. The public is urged to comply with the instructions of the police and avoid traffic in areas where traffic has been disrupted. Finally, it is reminded that the use of drones is prohibited during the celebrations.
