EOA Limassol: No Examination of Building Amnesty Applications Until Late 2026

Yiannis Tsouloftas, president of the EOA Limassol, announced that applications for building amnesty will not be examined in the coming months. The focus will be on licensing new developments, with the examination of amnesty applications scheduled to begin in late 2026 to early 2027. Mr. Tsouloftas explained that the licensing department will be fully staffed around mid-2026, allowing the EOA to examine applications at a satisfactory speed. He clarified that citizens' money will not be lost and that the process will be transparent and efficient. He also referred to significant delays due to the approval of the EOA budget, as well as the intervention of the central government, which hinders their operation. He stressed the need for full autonomy of the EOAs so that they can operate faster and more effectively. Mr. Tsouloftas emphasized the importance of proactive citizen information and ensuring the legality of constructions, urging owners to learn about licensing procedures and comply with regulations.
