Trial Set for Casino Torture Case in Pyla – Two Face Numerous Charges

Two men, aged 48 and 27, are to stand trial before the Larnaca Criminal Court on April 27th for horrific torture and abuse at a casino in Pyla. The defendants will remain in custody until the trial. The case was revealed after the analysis of more than 3,000 videos from the 48-year-old's mobile phones, who has an extensive criminal record. They face a multitude of charges, including conspiracy, illegal possession of a firearm, inhuman treatment, kidnapping, and threats. A third suspect remains wanted for involvement in the bloody incident outside the Larnaca Police Station in January. The offenses were committed between June and September 2025, with victims being threatened with weapons and subjected to torture for various reasons, such as debts or to confess to crimes.
