Parliamentary Committee Requests Increased Incentives for Private Kindergartens

The Parliamentary Committee on Education has requested the Government to strengthen incentives for private kindergartens, bringing them in line with the incentives provided to other levels of private education. The Committee President, Pavlos Mylonas, stated that private kindergartens are at risk of decline and closure due to changes in legislation. MPs from various parties, such as AKEL and DIKO, emphasized the importance of private kindergartens and the need for immediate support, including tax breaks and urban planning facilities. The Committee expressed hope that the Ministry of Education will resolve the issues and submit relevant bills before the dissolution of Parliament.
