Hope for Progress Tomorrow on Confidence-Building Measures - Olguin

The Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General, Maria Angela Holguin, expressed hope for progress in talks regarding Confidence-Building Measures (CBMs) in Cyprus, during a trilateral meeting to be held tomorrow. Ms. Holguin stated that today's meeting with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Tufan Erhurman, was constructive and focused on preparing for the trilateral. Tomorrow's agenda includes discussing the concerns of both sides regarding the resumption of negotiations and the methodology to be followed. Ms. Holguin does not see significant progress so far, but hopes that the leaders will be able to make progress tomorrow.
