Greek Cypriot Released on Bail from “Court” in Occupied Territories

A Greek Cypriot who was arrested in the occupied territories, accused of violating a military prohibited zone, has been released on bail from the “district court” in occupied Nicosia. The man was arrested on February 10th near Gerolakkos while collecting wild greens. He was initially charged with illegal possession of explosives (16 hunting cartridges) and was released on a bail of 1 million Turkish Lira. He will now appear before a “military court” on February 19th for the charge of violating a military prohibited zone.
