Audit Office Identifies Weaknesses in the Meteorology Department

The Audit Office has identified omissions and weaknesses in the Meteorology Department's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and circulars, as well as in the implementation of prescribed procedures. Among the findings are weaknesses in recording employee arrival and departure times, failure to maintain a process for recording all overdue revenues, delays in the quality assessment of meteorological data, and a lack of a Usage Permit for the building housing the department's headquarters. The Audit Office recommends that the Meteorology Department take steps to comply with regulations, ensure the completeness of overdue revenue statements, collect revenues promptly, and accelerate the quality control of data. The Department has already taken certain measures, such as installing an electronic system for monitoring working hours and reconciling revenues for the last eight years.
