National Handball Team Involved in Bus Accident, Two Members Hospitalized

The bus carrying the Cyprus National Handball team was involved in a traffic accident in Estonia while transporting the team from Tallinn to Polva for the match against Estonia. The accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday. Two members of the delegation were taken to hospital as a precaution, but are not in danger. According to the Cyprus Handball Federation, the remaining members of the delegation are well and have not suffered serious injuries. The Federation is in contact with the authorities in Estonia and Cyprus to organize the team's safe return. The match against Estonia, scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, January 11th, in Polva, for the Promotion Round of the EHF Euro 2028, is doubtful to take place as scheduled.
