EDPA and Ministry of Justice Discuss Legislation Amendments

A meeting was held between the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee (EDPA) and the Director-General of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, Giorgos Pantelis, to discuss amendments to legislation concerning sports. The meeting was characterized by a positive atmosphere and productive dialogue. During the meeting, ways to enhance transparency and the smooth functioning of sports were discussed, as well as other important issues of common interest. The EDPA and the Ministry of Justice agreed on the need for further improvement of the institutional framework of sports. The EDPA was represented by President Stefanos Skordis, Vice-President Efthymios Efthymiou, and members Nikolaos Koursaris and Nikolaos Konstantinou. The meeting is part of a continuous effort for cooperation between the two bodies, with the aim of promoting the values of sports and protecting athletes. The EDPA expressed its thanks to Mr. Pantelis and the Ministry officials for their cooperation and constructive dialogue, which is expected to contribute to the formation of a stronger and more modern institutional framework for sports in Cyprus.
