Bar Owners Blame Staff for Deadly New Year's Eve Fire in Switzerland

The owners of Le Constel bar in Switzerland, Jacques and Jessica Moretti, are blaming the staff for the deadly New Year's Eve fire, claiming they are also victims. The fire, caused by sparks from champagne bottles, killed 40 people and seriously injured 116. The Morettis claim that the 24-year-old waitress, Cian Panin, who also died in the fire, carried out the champagne show on her own initiative. However, Panin's family and survivors dispute this claim, arguing that Jessica Moretti had instructed Panin to do so. The investigation is also examining the lack of fire safety training for staff, as they appear to have not been fully informed about evacuation procedures or the use of fire extinguishers. The owners admit there was no specific training, but claim employees were informed about basic safety procedures. The Morettis are under judicial supervision, while police continue to investigate the circumstances of the tragedy.
