Twelve Years Since the Sudden Death of Tasos Mitsopoulos – "We Miss Him as a Man, a Politician, and a Patriot", Says DISY

Twelve years have passed since the sudden death of Tasos Mitsopoulos, a significant political figure for the Democratic Rally (DISY). DISY expressed its deep sorrow for the loss, emphasizing that Mitsopoulos' absence remains palpable and the void he left is substantial. Mitsopoulos is recognized for the values he defended, his character, his political integrity, and his humanity. His ability to combine sensitivity and love for his fellow human beings with substantial political contribution made him particularly beloved and respected. Furthermore, Mitsopoulos stood out for his composure, avoidance of toxicity, and ability to earn the respect even of his political opponents. As a true patriot, he consistently served the principles of DISY and sought to strengthen the ties between Greece and Cyprus. Throughout his political career, Mitsopoulos served as a Member of Parliament for Larnaca, Parliamentary Spokesperson, Minister of Communications and Works, and Minister of Defense. DISY states that his memory will remain alive, as he was a man, politician, and patriot who will be missed by all.
