Στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αμμοχώστου μεταφέρθηκαν δύο πρόσωπα που ενεπλάκησαν σε τροχαίο δυστύχημα παρά την έξοδο Αγίας Θέκλας, στον αυτοκινητόδρομο Αγίας Νάπας – Λάρνακας.
Σε ανακοίνωση της Πυροσβεστικής Υπηρεσίας αναφέρεται ότι γύρω στις 16:28 το απόγευμα της Τετάρτης 11 Μαρτίου «λήφθηκε κλήση για τροχαία οδική σύγκρουση στον αυτοκινητόδρομο Αγίας Νάπας – Λάρνακας, παρά την έξοδο Αγίας Θέκλας, στην επαρχία Αμμοχώστου».

Για το περιστατικό «ανταποκρίθηκε ο Πυροσβεστικός Σταθμός Αμμοχώστου «Λοχία Αδάμου Αδάμου» με όχημα και ομάδα διάσωσης».
Προστίθεται πως «ένα πρόσωπο, αφού τοποθετήθηκε σε φορείο διάσωσης, παραδόθηκε στο πλήρωμα της Υπηρεσίας Ασθενοφόρων για μεταφορά του, μαζί με δεύτερο πρόσωπο, στο Τμήμα Ατυχημάτων και Επειγόντων Περιστατικών του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αμμοχώστου».

Two Injured in Traffic Accident Near Ayia Thekla Exit - Fire Department Responded
Two people were transported to the General Hospital of Ammochostos after a traffic accident occurred on the Ayia Napa – Larnaca highway, near the Ayia Thekla exit. The incident took place around 4:28 PM on Wednesday, March 11th. The Fire Department responded to the call and provided assistance in the rescue operation. According to the Fire Department's announcement, one person was placed on a stretcher and handed over to the ambulance crew to be transported, along with the second injured person, to the hospital. The Ammochostos Fire Station 'Sergeant Adamou Adamou' responded to the incident with a vehicle and a rescue team. The exact cause of the accident has not yet been determined. Authorities are investigating the circumstances under which the traffic accident occurred in order to determine responsibilities.
