Syrian Kurds Protest in Nicosia, Calling for End to Attacks

Syrian Kurds residing in Cyprus held a protest in Nicosia, outside the House of Europe and the Parliament, demanding an end to attacks against Kurds in Rojava. They denounce “genocidal attacks” by Turkey and its allies, resulting in civilian displacement, disruption of essential services such as electricity and water, and the release of ISIS prisoners. The protesters call on the European Union, the United Nations, and the international community to intervene to stop the attacks and protect the Kurdish people. They delivered a situation report to the House of Europe, titled “Save Rojava – Kurdistan,” denouncing war crimes and the threat of ISIS regrouping.
