Protest Outside House of Europe Against EU-Mercosur Deal

A rally was held outside the House of Europe in Nicosia, with the participation of agricultural organizations, political parties, and organized groups, expressing their opposition to the European Union-Mercosur trade agreement. Protesters argued that the agreement may have negative impacts on the agricultural sector and local production. The mobilization included, among others, EKA, Panagrotikos, NEDHPA, TERRA CYPRIA, PEO, Socialist Women's Movement, Consumers, PEK, Euroagricultural, ACCEPT LGBTI CYPRUS, POGO, NAC, KOSP, ESEM, Progressive, EDON, POA, Green Movement, NEDIK/ANAGENNISI, LAONA, and the Environmental Movement of Cyprus.
