Moscow Silent on Whether It Received Warning from US Over Information Exchange with Iran

The Kremlin declined to answer whether it received a warning from the United States regarding the exchange of information with Iran, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. The US is reported to have warned Russia not to share information with Tehran, following reports that Moscow relayed sensitive information, such as the locations of US warships, to Iran. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that communications between the two countries are ongoing, but avoided commenting specifically on the warning. President Trump stated he has no indication of Russian support for Iran, but that even if it existed, it would not be significant. Russia and Iran are close allies and have agreed to provide mutual assistance in the event of threats.
