Greenland: A Frontline of Defense for the US and NATO – See the Maps That Explain Trump's Stance

Donald Trump has once again raised the prospect of the United States purchasing Greenland, emphasizing its strategic importance for national security. Despite opposition, there is widespread agreement on Greenland's critical role in Western defense, particularly regarding naval and missile defense. Greenland is centrally located between North America and Europe, as well as between NATO and Russia, making it an ideal location for monitoring potential threats. Following the invasion of Ukraine, NATO has increased patrols in the region. The US already maintains a Space Force base in Greenland to monitor the skies. Greenland's geographical position makes it significant for defense in the event of an attack by intercontinental ballistic missiles.
