Greenland: EU Should Prepare Sanctions to 'Deter' Trump, Austrian Vice-Chancellor Says

Austrian Vice-Chancellor Andreas Babler is calling on the European Union to prepare sanctions against the US as a deterrent against any attempt by Donald Trump to annex Greenland. The proposed sanctions include restrictions on US tech companies, punitive tariffs on US agricultural products, and limitations on US investments in critical EU infrastructure. This move comes after Trump renewed his interest in purchasing Greenland and following the recent US military operation in Venezuela. The EU has already imposed a fine on Elon Musk's X platform and is facing backlash from the US government, with an entry ban for five European officials.
