Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kómbos explained the reasons for President Christodoulides' absence from Davos, emphasizing that the invitation came late and the President already had other commitments. Nicosia considers its participation in closed discussion circles, such as Davos, important and did not reject Trump's invitation regarding Gaza. The Cypriot position supports all efforts for peace and dispute resolution within the framework of international law, while also participating in initiatives for Gaza. Cyprus is discussing with the US side and other countries its role in the Board of Peace, taking into account its Presidency of the EU Council.
