Senators: We are Lucky to Have Christodoulides as President of Cyprus

During the meeting between the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, and a group of US Senators, the mutual desire to further strengthen the strategic relations between Cyprus and the United States was emphasized, as well as the important role of Cyprus in the region. President Christodoulides stated that relations are at a high level in all areas and expressed satisfaction with the strategic dialogue that has begun between the two countries. He also referred to his recent tour of the US to attract investment and his plans for future visits. President Christodoulides discussed regional geopolitical developments with the Senators and emphasized the importance of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union for strengthening US-EU relations. The Senators expressed their admiration for the role of President Christodoulides in strengthening bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of Cyprus as an ally and friend of the US for national security and the economy. One Senator stated: "We are lucky to have you as the President of the Republic of Cyprus in this era, and perhaps in all eras."
