Ένας Ουκρανός και μία Ρουμάνα συνελήφθησαν ως ύποπτοι για κατασκοπεία υπέρ της Ρωσίας, ανακοίνωσε πριν από λίγο η Ομοσπονδιακή Εισαγγελία.
Σύμφωνα με την ανακοίνωση, η 'Αλλα Σ. συνελήφθη στη Βόρεια Ρηνανία-Βεστφαλία από ειδικές δυνάμεις της αστυνομίας και αξιωματικούς της Υπηρεσίας κατά του Εγκλήματος (ΒΚΑ) της Βαυαρίας, ενώ ο Σεργκέι Ν. συνελήφθη στο Αλικάντε από τις ισπανικές αρχές. Οι δύο συλληφθέντες εκτιμάται ότι από τον Δεκέμβριο του 2025 κατασκόπευαν για λογαριασμό ρωσικής υπηρεσίας πληροφοριών ένα άτομο στη Γερμανία το οποίο προμήθευε drones στην Ουκρανία, ενώ βιντεοσκοπούσαν συστηματικά τον τόπο εργασίας και την κατοικία του.
Σύμφωνα με το περιοδικό Der Spiegel, οι γερμανικές αρχές πιστεύουν ότι η παρακολούθηση είχε ως στόχο την προετοιμασία περαιτέρω επιχειρήσεων παρακολούθησης του προμηθευτή drones - ενδεχομένως επίθεση εναντίον του ή και απόπειρα δολοφονίας του. Το υπό παρακολούθηση άτομο βρίσκεται πλέον σε ασφαλές μέρος και λαμβάνει ιδιαίτερα μέτρα προφύλαξης, αναφέρει το περιοδικό. Η εταιρία του προμήθευε drones στην Ουκρανία και ειδικεύεται στην παραγωγή μεμονωμένων εξαρτημάτων τους.

Germany: Two Suspects Arrested for Espionage on Behalf of Russia
Two individuals, a Ukrainian and a Romanian, have been arrested in Germany and Spain on suspicion of espionage for Russia, following a warrant issued by the Federal Prosecutor's Office. Authorities allege that the two suspects have been spying since December 2025 on behalf of a Russian intelligence service on an individual in Germany who supplies drones to Ukraine. The espionage involved systematic video surveillance of the target's workplace and residence. According to Der Spiegel magazine, German authorities believe the surveillance was intended to prepare further actions against the drone supplier, potentially including an attack or attempted assassination. The targeted individual has been moved to a safe location and is receiving increased protection. The drone supplier's company specializes in the production of individual components, potentially making it a significant target for Russian intelligence services. This case highlights the growing concern over Russian espionage activities in Europe, particularly in relation to support for Ukraine. The arrests were carried out by special police forces and officials from the Bavarian State Criminal Office (BKA), in cooperation with Spanish authorities. The investigation is ongoing, and further information is expected regarding the scope and objectives of the espionage activity.
