General Auditor: Land Registry Lacks Plan for 7,000 Pending Applications

The General Auditor Andreas Papakonstantinou expressed his concern about the lack of strategic planning at the Land Registry, pointing out the existence of 7,000 pending applications. He stressed that there is no specific plan to reduce the pending applications over a three-year period, which he considers essential for the effective operation of the department and the service of citizens and businesses. Mr. Papakonstantinou emphasized that the Land Registry affects many sectors and that a national strategic plan is needed to address the problems.
