French Parliament Rejects No-Confidence Motions Against Lecomte

The French National Assembly rejected two motions of no confidence against Prime Minister Sébastien Lecomte, submitted by opposition parties in response to the government's decision to use Article 49.3 of the Constitution to approve the 2026 state budget without parliamentary approval. The first motion did not gather the necessary number of votes, while the second, submitted by the National Rally, received even fewer votes.
