Greek Frigate 'Psara' Deployed off Limassol with Anti-Drone System

The Greek frigate 'Psara' is currently deployed off the coast of Limassol, conducting patrols in Cypriot waters as part of Greece's efforts to strengthen Cyprus. The 'Psara', a MEKO 200HN class frigate, is equipped with ESSM missiles, a CIWS Phalanx system, and integrated surveillance radars. Notably, it also features the Greek-developed anti-drone system 'Kentavros', which has been integrated into units of the Hellenic Navy. Developed by the Hellenic Aerospace Industry, 'Kentavros' is designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) by jamming their communication and guidance signals. The presence of this system enhances operational capabilities in addressing modern threats, such as drone attacks. The 'Psara' frigate represents a significant component of Greek support for Cyprus, bolstering security in the region.
