Two months after the arrest of Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela is showing changes, mainly at the level of expectations and geopolitical shift. The country has resumed energy cooperation with the United States, resulting in increased oil revenues and currency stabilization. At the same time, repression has decreased and small demonstrations have reappeared. The opposition appears more cautious and is setting conditions for elections. However, the deep state of Chavismo remains in place and no radical institutional reforms have been made. The most important change is the mindset and the expectation of improvement.
