Remedica Responds to Allegations in Controversial Video

Pharmaceutical company Remedica has issued a clarifying statement regarding a video that surfaced, allegedly recording conversations between former Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis, the President's Office Director Charalambos Charalambou, Cyfield Director Giorgos Chrysos, and a Dutch investor. Remedica emphasizes that its parent company, LetterOne, is not subject to sanctions and is fully separated from shareholders subject to sanctions. The company states that these specific shareholders do not exert any influence on LetterOne, nor do they derive any financial benefit from it. Furthermore, Remedica and LetterOne deny having made political donations to benefit President Christodoulides. However, they state that LetterOne responded to a public appeal by the Republic of Cyprus to support those affected by the 2023 wildfires and donated €75,000 to the official Fire Support Account, including support for Remedica employees affected by the fires. The donation is fully documented.
