Low-Pressure System Brings Storms, Snow, and Strong Winds to Cyprus

A low-pressure system centered over northern Egypt is affecting the island, with a new disturbance from the west expected from Friday. Dust will be present in the atmosphere until Friday evening. The weather will be mainly cloudy with local showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of hail. Winds will be blowing from the northeast to southeast, with temporary strengthening along the coasts. The temperature will range around 19 degrees Celsius inland and on the coasts, and 10 degrees Celsius in the mountains. Intermittent rain and thunderstorms are expected from Friday to Sunday, with the possibility of snow or sleet in the higher peaks of Troodos. The temperature will remain at the same levels on Friday, with a slight drop on Saturday and Sunday.
