16% Increase in Winter Air Traffic at Cyprus Airports

Air traffic at Larnaca and Paphos airports has increased by 16% during the winter period (November-January) compared to the same period last year. Hermes Airports, the airport management company, attributes the increase to coordinated efforts by the tourism industry and agreements with airlines that strengthen year-round connectivity. 30 airlines operate at Larnaca Airport with flights to 54 destinations, while 8 airlines operate flights to 35 destinations at Paphos Airport. Despite geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, air traffic to Cyprus remains stable, although there may be temporary changes to flight plans. Expansion projects of the airports are also underway with an investment of €170 million, fully funded by Hermes Airports.
