Αύξηση κατέγραψαν οι τιμές των κατασκευαστικών υλικών τον Φεβρουάριο του 2026, τόσο σε ετήσια όσο και σε μηνιαία βάση, σύμφωνα με στοιχεία που δημοσιοποίησε η Στατιστική Υπηρεσία Κύπρου.
Ο Δείκτης Τιμών Κατασκευαστικών Υλικών διαμορφώθηκε στις 119,28 μονάδες με έτος βάσης το 2021=100, καταγράφοντας άνοδο 0,33% σε σύγκριση με τον Ιανουάριο του 2026. Σε ετήσια βάση, σε σχέση με τον Φεβρουάριο του 2025, ο δείκτης σημείωσε αύξηση 0,60%.
Ανά κύρια κατηγορία προϊόντων, τις μεγαλύτερες αυξήσεις παρουσίασαν τα ηλεκτρομηχανολογικά είδη με 2,27%, τα προϊόντα από ξύλο, μονωτικά, χημικά και πλαστικά με 1,64% και τα ορυκτά με 0,94%.
Αντίθετα, μειώσεις καταγράφηκαν στα μεταλλικά προϊόντα, τα οποία υποχώρησαν κατά 0,45%, καθώς και στα προϊόντα ορυκτών, που σημείωσαν πτώση 0,08%.
Για την περίοδο Ιανουαρίου – Φεβρουαρίου 2026, ο δείκτης παρουσίασε αύξηση 0,84% σε σύγκριση με την αντίστοιχη περίοδο του 2025.
Construction Material Prices Increase by 0.60% in February
Construction material prices in Cyprus increased by 0.60% in February 2026 year-on-year, according to the Statistical Service of Cyprus. The monthly increase was 0.33%. The Construction Materials Price Index reached 119.28 units with a base year of 2021=100. The largest increases were recorded in electromechanical goods (2.27%), wood products, insulation, chemicals and plastics (1.64%), and minerals (0.94%). These increases indicate pressures in specific sectors of the construction industry. Conversely, decreases were observed in metal products (-0.45%) and mineral products (-0.08%). These decreases may be due to various factors, such as global supply and demand, geopolitical developments, and changes in raw material prices. Overall, for the period January-February 2026, the index showed an increase of 0.84% compared to the same period in 2025. This trend indicates a continued upward trend in construction material prices, which may affect the cost of construction projects.
