Independent Social Support Agency Addresses Controversy Following President's Resignation

The Management Committee of the Independent Social Support Agency (ISSA) held an emergency meeting following the resignation of its President, Philippa Karsera Christodoulidou, and expressed its regret, urging her to reconsider. The resignation was triggered by a controversy surrounding the publication of a video featuring alleged investors. The Committee decided to recommend to the Council of Ministers the continuation of the process of evaluating scholarship applications, as well as ensuring that any reserve funds are allocated exclusively to eligible students. At the same time, it recommended the implementation of a regulation from the Audit Office requiring donor consent for the publication of donations exceeding €20,000.
