Foot-and-Mouth Disease: All Animals Culled in Livadia Despite Farmer Protests
Authorities have culled all animals on farms in Livadia where cases of foot-and-mouth disease were detected, as a measure to limit the spread of the disease. No new cases have been reported so far. The culling led to tensions between farmers and Veterinary Services at one particular farm, as officials proceeded with the process. The Ministry of Agriculture is closely monitoring the situation and continues to implement the necessary measures to address the disease.
