Foot-and-Mouth Disease: Vaccinations Begin in Cattle Farms - No Consumption Concerns

Vaccinations have begun in cattle farms in Cyprus, following a crisis management meeting to address the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak. Vaccinations will initially be carried out within a 3-kilometer radius of infected areas, using 10,000 doses of vaccines sourced from the occupied territories. The remaining 529,000 doses will be gradually received from the European Union. Authorities assure that there is no concern regarding the consumption of meat and milk. The virus strain is the same as the one detected in the occupied territories. The importance of strict adherence to biosecurity measures has been emphasized.
