Foot-and-Mouth Disease: Emergency Meeting Called by President of Cyprus

The Cypriot government is on alert following the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. President Christodoulides convened an emergency meeting at the Veterinary Services in Athala, to assess the situation and take measures to limit the spread of the disease. According to reports, cases have been identified in six livestock units, with approximately 5,000 animals infected. The meeting also aims to inform the public about the situation and the measures being taken.
